【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssoldermetalalloys(commonlyknownassoftsolders),includingzinc-aluminum,zinc-aluminum-copper,zinc-tin,zinc-tin-copper,zinc-cadmium-tin,zinc-cadmium,tin-zinc,cadmium-zinc,cadmium-zinc-silver,andcadmium-silver,usedassoldersforthepurposeofjoiningtogethertwoormoremetalsattemperaturesbelowtheirmeltingpoints.1.1.1CertainalloysspecifiedinthisstandardarealsousedasThermalSprayWireintheelectronicsindustryandarecoveredforthispurposeinSpecificationB943.SpecificationB833coversZincandZincAlloyWireforThermalSpraying(Metallizing)usedprimarilyforthecorrosionprotectionofsteel(asnotedintheAnnexpartofthisspecification).1.1.2TinbasealloysareincludedinthisspecificationbecausetheiruseintheelectronicsindustryisdifferentthanthemajoruseofthetinandleadsoldercompositionsspecifiedinSpecificationB32.1.1.3Thesesoldersincludealloyshavinganominalliquidustemperaturenotexceeding850176;F(455176;C).1.1.4Thisspecificationincludessolderintheformofsolidbars,ingots,wire,powderandspecialforms,andintheformofsolderpaste.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Toxicity8212;Warning:Solubleandrespirableformsofcadmiummaybeharmfultohumanhealthandtheenvironmentincertainformsandconcentrations.Therefore,ingestionandinhalationofcadmiumshouldbecontrolledundertheappropriateregulationsoftheU.S.OccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministration(OSHA).Cadmium-containingalloysandcoatingsshouldnotbeusedonarticlesthatwillcontactfoodorbeverages,orfordentalandotherequipmentthatisnormallyinsertedinthemouth.Similarly,ifarticlesusingcadmium-containingalloysorcoatingsarewelded,soldered,brazed,ground,flame-cut,orotherwiseheatedduringfabrication,adequateventilationmustbeprovidedtomaintainoccupationalcadmiumexposurebelowtheOSHAPermissibleExposureLevel(PEL).1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardprovidesthegeneralprinciplesofatestmethodforevaluatingtheperformanceofcompletegarmentsorprotectiveclothingensemblesinaflashfireorothershortdurationexposures.Thistestmethodcharacterizesthethermalprotectionprovidedbygarments,basedonthemeasurementofheattransfertoafull-sizemanikinexposedtoalaboratorysimulationofafirewithcontrolledheatfluxdensity,durationandflamedistribution.Theheattransfermeasurementscanalsobeusedtocalculatethepredictedskinburninjuryresultingfromtheexposure.Inaddition,observationsarerecordedontheoverallbehaviourofthetestspecimenduringandaftertheexposure.Thismethodisusefulforthreetypesofevaluation:a)comparisonofgarmentorensemblematerials;b)comparisonofgarmentorensembledesign;andc)evaluationofanygarmentorensembleprototypeforaparticularapplicationortoaspecification.Eachtypeofevaluationhasdifferentgarmentorensemblerequirementsbecausethetestresultsaredependentonthetestmaterialperformance,onthegarmentsize,onthegarmentdesignandontheuseofensemblecomponents.Theresultsobtainedapplyonlytotheparticulargarmentsorensembles,astested,andforthespecifiedconditionsofeachtest,particularlywithrespecttotheheatfluxdensity,durationandflamedistribution.Forthepurposesofthistestmethod,theincidentheatfluxdensityislimitedtoanominallevelof84kW/m2.ThisInternationalStandardisintendedtobeusedtomeasureanddescribethebehaviourofcompletegarmentsorprotectiveclothingensemblesinresponsetoconvectiveandradiantenergyundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions,withtheresultsusedtooptimizegarmentcombinationsanddesigns.ThisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtobeusedtocomparethepropertiesofgarmentmaterialsorcombinationsofmaterialsunlessthetestspecimensareabsolutelyidenticalinsizeanddesign.Furthermore,thisInternationalStandardisnotintendedtobeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskunderactualfireconditions.However,theresultsofthistestcanbeusedaselementsofafireriskassessmentwhichtakesintoaccountallofthefactorsthatarepertinenttoanassessmentofthefirehazardofaparticularenduse.ConsiderationsfortheuseofthistestmethodareprovidedinAnnexA.Inter-laboratorydataforthetestmethodareprovidedinAnnexB.
