【摘要】:Thispracticeprovideseightfigures-of-meritwhichmaybeusedtoestimatetherelativethermalhazardpotentialofthermallyunstablematerials.Sincenumerousassumptionsmustbemadeinordertoobtainthesefigures-of-merit,caremustbeexercisedtoavoidtoorigorousinterpretation(orevenmisapplication)oftheresults.Thispracticemaybeusedforcomparativepurposes,specificationacceptance,andresearch.Itshouldnotbeusedtopredictactualperformance.1.1Thispracticecoversthecalculationofhazardpotentialfigures-of-meritforexothermicreactions,including:Time-to-thermal-runaway,Criticalhalfthickness,Criticaltemperature,AdiabaticdecompositiontemperatureriseExplosionpotential,Shocksensitivity,Instantaneouspowerdensity,andNFPAinstabilityrating.1.2Thekineticparametersneededinthiscalculationmaybeobtainedfromdifferentialscanningcalorimetry(DSC)curvesbymethodsdescribedinotherdocuments.1.3Thistechniqueisthebestapplicabletosimple,singlereactionswhosebehaviorcanbedescribedbytheArrheniusequationandthegeneralratelaw.Forreactionswhichdonotmeettheseconditions,thistechniquemay,withcaution,serveasanapproximation.1.4Thecalculationsandresultsofthispracticemightbeusedtoestimatetherelativedegreeofhazardforexperimentalandresearchquantitiesofthermallyunstablematerialsforwhichlittleexperienceandfewdataareavailable.Comparablecalculationsandresultsperformedwithdatadevelopedforwellcharacterizedmaterialsinidenticalequipment,environment,andgeometryarekeytotheabilitytoestimaterelativehazard.1.5Thefigures-of-meritcalculatedasdescribedinthispracticeareintendedtobeusedonlyasaguidefortheestimationoftherelativethermalhazardpotentialofasystem(materials,container,andsurroundings).Theyarenotintendedtopredictactualthermokineticperformance.Thecalculatederrorsfortheseparametersareanintimatepartofthispracticeandmustbeprovidedtostressthis.Itisstronglyrecommendedthatthoseusingthedataprovidedbythispracticeseektheconsultationofqualifiedpersonnelforproperinterpretation.1.6TheSIunitsarestandard.1.7ThereisnoISOstandardequivalenttothispractice.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Electronictransducer-basedpressuremeasurementsystemsmustbesubjectedtostaticcalibrationunderroomconditionstoensurereliableconversionfromsystemoutputtopressureduringuseinlaboratoryorinfieldapplications.Transducer-basedpressuremeasurementsystemsshouldbecalibratedbeforeinitialuseandatleastquarterlythereafterandafteranychangeintheelectronicormechanicalconfigurationofasystem.Transducer-basedpressuremeasurementsystemsshouldalsoberecalibratedifacomponentisdropped;overloaded;ifambienttestconditionschangesignificantly;orforanyothersignificantchangesinasystem.Staticcalibrationisnotappropriatefortransducerbasedsystemsusedunderoperatingenvironmentalconditionsinvolvingvibration,shock,oracceleration.1.1Thispracticecoverstheprocedureforstaticcalibrationofelectronictransducer-basedsystemsusedtomeasurefluidpressuresinlaboratoryorinfieldapplicationsassociatedwithgeotechnicaltesting.1.2Thispracticeisusedtodeterminetheaccuracyofelectronictransducer-basedpressuremeasurementsystemsoverthefullpressurerangeofthesystemoroveraspecifiedoperatingpressurerangewithinthefullpressurerange.1.3Thispracticemayalsobeusedtodeterminearelationshipbetweenpressuretransducersystemoutputandappliedpressureforuseinconvertingfromonevaluetotheother(calibrationcurve).Thisrelationshipforelectronicpressuretransducersystemsisusuallylinearandmaybereducedtotheformofacalibrationfactororalinearcalibrationequation.1.4ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificprecautionarystatementsaregiveninSection7.
