【摘要】:Thisdocumentspecifiesamicrobiologicalscreeningmethodcomprisingtwoprocedures,whicharecarriedoutinparallel.Itpermitstheidentificationofanunusualmicrobiologicalprofileinpoultrymeat.Thepresenceofalargeexcesspopulationofdeadmicro-organismscanundercertaincircumstancesbepresumptiveofirradiationtreatment,whichmeans,thattheresultsoftheprocedureofthedeterminationofendotoxinconcentrationinthetestsampleusingtheLimulusamoebocytelysate(LAL)testandoftheprocedureoftheenumerationoftotalGramnegativebacteria(GNB)inthetestsamplearenotradiationspecific.Therefore,itisrecommendedthatapositiveresultbeconfirmedusingastandardizedreferencemethodforthedetectionofirradiatedfood,e.g.EN1784,EN1785orEN1786[1]to[3].Thisscreeningmethodhasbeensuccessfullytestedbyinter-laboratorytrials[4],[5],[6]andtheprocedureisgenerallyapplicabletowholeorpartsofpoultry,e.g.breast,legs,wingsoffresh,chilledorfrozencarcasseswithorwithoutskin.Themethodcanalsoprovideinformationaboutthemicrobiologicalqualityofaproductpriortoirradiation.
