【摘要】:1.1ThisStandardappliestoelectricclotheswashingmachinesandextractorsintendedtobeusedinnonhazardouslocationsinaccordancewiththeCanadianElectricalCode,PartI(CEC),andthe(U.S.)NationalElectricalCode(NEC),oncircuitshavinganominalvoltagenotexceeding600V.Note:Whereverpractical,forconvenience,theterm"appliance"hasbeenusedinlieuof"clotheswasher"or"machine".1.2ThisStandardappliestobothcord-connectedandpermanentlyconnectedappliances.TheappliancescoveredbythisStandardareintendedforusebythegeneralpublicnotspecificallytrainedintheuseoftheappliance,regardlessofthemodebywhichitsoperationisinitiated.Theyareforuseinhouseholdandcommercialpurposes,includingappliancesprovidedwithcoin-,ticket-,orcard-operatedmechanisms,wringerwashers,tumbler,agitatorandspinnermachines,combinationwasher-dryers,andextractorsofthecentrifugaltype.1.3ThisStandarddoesnotapplytoindustrialandinstitutionaltypeappliances.IndustrialorinstitutionalappliancesarecoveredunderthescopeofElectricWashingMachines,CSAC22.2No.53,orElectricCommercialClothes-WashingEquipment,UL1206.Note:Industrialandinstitutionaltypeappliancesarenotintendedforusebythegeneralpublic,butonlybytrainedorsupervisedpersonnel.
